"A newly constructed Bailey suspension bridge across the Teesta River at Phidang in Mangan District was inaugurated today... This bridge, with a span of 320 feet and a capacity of 40 tons, serves as a crucial lifeline for the border area, especially since the Mangan-Chungthang road lacks connectivity. It replaces a previous bridge that was washed away by a flash flood."
