O'Donnell shares: "[This is a] bridge to the north and south galleries/fortifications of the Værdalske Fortifications - a group of fortifications along Jamtlandsvegen (Fylkesvei 72) in Verdal municipality in Nord-Trøndelag. These facilities were built as a result of the strained situation between Norway and Sweden following the dissolution of the union in 1905. The fortresses are part of Stjør- and Værdalske fortifications, and should protect Trøndelag against any attack from the east."
