The bridge failed in 1913 under the weight of cattle. I acquired the first postcard a long time ago (early 2000s), but it was only upon carefully examining the second postcard (acquired in 2020) that I noticed a grisly detail in both images. The large black objects along the wires are cattle still hung up in the wreckage. One is visible in the first image, bottom-center. At least three are visible in the second image, bottom, right-center. There are five people also visible there below the cattle. It is unclear what the people are doing.
