Jochem notes this postcard is postmarked in 1920. The damage is likely due to World War I.
Jochem writes: "You can see here the change that eventually leads to replacement of the suspension bridge. A mid pillar has been built in the river and two lattice girders placed, later, they demolished the towers and removed the cables."
