Translation: Acceptance tests for the new suspension bridge (February 9, 1927). 1st test: Load of 160 tonnes per span made up of 20 trucks ballasted with sand and each weighing 8 tonnes. (Note the slight sagging of the loaded span). 2. test: Concentrated overload of 2 axles running abreast, each loaded with six tonnes. Reconstruction carried out by the G. ARNODIN, G. LEJNEKUGEL & LECOQ establishments in Châteauneuf sur-Loire."
Jochem notes this bridge was destroyed June 18, 1940 by the French one hour before the arrival of German troops.
