"Bridge deck. The surface appears to be made up of metal trays filled with concrete. The top surface has been coated with anti-slip grit."

"Looking south. Note the walkway down to what had once been the ferry landing. It's clear from this photo just how far the tide rises at this point. The tide was still running out quite strongly when I took the photo. I can see why a bridge would be a safer as well as a quicker way of crossing."
