Bruce sent seven photos of the damaged Trinity Alps Resort suspension bridge and two photos (at the end) of the vehicular bridge at the resort. Bruce writes: "The photos of the downed suspension bridge are taken August 4th, 2002. There had been a fire in Oregon that was dumping smoke into the resort for many days [accounting for the haze, but not the collapse]. I took these photos around 7 AM. My son was the last one over the bridge the night before (having come home a little later than we agreed). The resort owner was fantastic at rebuilding quickly the bridge you see today... The last two photos are the auto bridge at the resort. It was a log bridge for many years and was replaced by this flatbed rail car. It has been in use for 20+ years." Bruce also wrote that the collapse appeared to be due to a corroded rusted cable.
