The Riegelsville bridge is one of the few (if not the only) remaining American multi-span highway suspension bridges with continuous cables. The Roebling Aqueduct serves as a multi-span highway suspension bridge but was originally built as an aqueduct. The San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge has two large back-to-back suspension bridges, but the cables are not continuous between the spans.

This visit was a washout. Mrs. Bridgemeister did a good job of holding an umbrella over me and my camera. You can't tell from these photos how hard it was actually raining. I had better weather for my next visit.
