Unfortunately, I was a few years late to see this oddity -- a very light one-lane eyebar suspension bridge that had been in use since 1904. It was demolished in 1986. This was the scene in the early 1990's (1991 or 1992) as the two towns waited for a replacement span (which was completed a year or two after this visit).
