Unfinished wood-framed towers.
Finished towers.
The wooden towers were replaced with open-frame metal towers in 1884. The bridge was wrecked by wind in 1889 and soon "replaced" with another suspension bridge known as the "Second Falls View Bridge". It's possible the same towers were used for the 1889 bridge and some of these images may be of that bridge. One of the cards below is copyrighted in 1894.
