Patrick observes, "this bridge is just a few miles northwest of Pikeville. Like the Pauley and the Pikeville Pond bridges, this bridge's cables extend across the highway. Again it looks like the main cables have been lengthened considerably to extend across the main highway due to the turnbuckles hovering over the southbound lanes. These turnbuckles appear to be located along the main cable where possibly they once where attached to an anchorage that would have been located before the widening of the major thoroughfare."
